Scrip is a fantastic gift card program that the Music Boosters offer through Great Lakes Scrip Scrip - it is a win-win for you and the band, plus it is a convenient, one-stop way to shop. Scrip cards also make great gifts!
How It Works. This programs allows anybody to purchase gift cards for stores and restaurants in the Dayton area and for many retailers and restaurants nationwide. You simply pay face value for the cards you purchase from the Music Boosters, the same price you would pay if you bought a gift card anywhere else. The good news is that the Music Boosters purchase the cards at a discount and share the profit with you.
How You Profit. The Music Boosters split the profit by crediting 45% of the profit to your account. The remaining 55% is used to help support the Bellbrook Marching Eagles program.
Your part of the profit can go to any of several places:
- Marching Band
- Indoor Percussion Ensemble
- Winter Guard
It can also be used to support other programs in the form of a donation to that program. Your proceeds can be donated to organizations such as:
- Athletic Boosters
- Baseball
- Cheerleading
- Theater
Watch Your Savings Add Up! For example, if you purchased $100 in Cub Foods gift certificates, the Boosters would pay only $95 for the certificates. That's $5 in profit. You would receive $2.25 in credit and the Boosters receive $2.75. That may not seem like much, but like groceries, the dollars add up and Scrip cards are available for just about any place you shop and dine. Some retailers pay even higher profit percentages! The more you use the program, the more you and the band both profit! There are people who pay their band fees (over $600) just by using the Scrip program. The more people that participate in the program, the more money we all make!
What Gift Cards Are Offered? Scrip cards are identical to gift cards you purchase directly from stores and they are used in the same manner. Scrip is available for everyday expenses including, but not limited to:
